The American Chamber of Commerce in Ethiopia was formed to strengthen and continue the century old friendship and economic ties that have existed between the two countries as well as to support and encourage the business community to better familiarize with each other; closely relate and work together in trade and investment, share experiences and facilitate capacity building within the country as well as promote foreign direct investment in Ethiopia.

Promote the Development of Trade and Investment Between the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the United States of America and Increase Foreign Direct Investment

Provide a Forum to Identify and Discuss Common Commercial Interests and Serve as an Information-Clearing House

Express the Views of Both the Ethiopian and American Business Community to the Public and Private Interest of the United States and Vice Versa

Render Counseling and Training Services to its Members
